About Us

Our Story

For over five decades, Candyland Kinder Kollege has been a cornerstone of the Jefferson Parish community, providing high-quality, compassionate childcare for generations of families. Our story began over 50 years ago with the vision of our founder, Claudette B. Fennidy. Ms. Fennidy, a pillar of the community, founded Candyland Kinder Kollege with a simple yet profound purpose: to create a nurturing and enriching environment where every child could learn, grow, and feel loved.

Ms. Fennidy's unwavering dedication and warm heart established a legacy that continues to define our program today. Her commitment to the children of Jefferson Parish was so impactful that she was honored with the naming of the Claudette B. Fennidy Splash Pad at Johnny Jacobs Playground. Her spirit lives on in our mission and in the countless lives she touched.

Our Mission

At Candyland Kinder Kollege, we believe that childhood is a precious journey, not a race. Our mission is to provide a safe, happy, and stimulating environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of every child. We partner with families to create a vibrant, engaging, and healthy learning experience for our young learners.

Our Philosophy

Rooted in the legacy of our founder, our philosophy is simple: we put children first. We foster a sense of wonder and curiosity, offering a wide variety of educational and recreational activities designed to meet the individual needs of young learners. Our experienced and caring staff are committed to:

  • Creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels they belong.

  • Encouraging learning through structured play and engaging programs.

  • Prioritizing the health and safety of our students with secure, clean facilities.

  • Working with parents and families to create a strong, supportive community.
